Project Controls Professional

Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Controls Professional to monitor and report progress on public transportation projects such as Highway Interchanges, Multi-use paths, bridges over railroads and other infrastructure projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management and project coordination, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. This role requires effective communication with stakeholders, the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and a deep understanding of construction processes and methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead project planning sessions to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.

• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.

• Develop detailed project plans to monitor and track progress using construction management software.

• Ensure resource availability and allocation while managing project schedules effectively.

• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

• Prepare and present reports on project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders.

• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure alignment with project specifications.

• Review contracts and manage changes in project scope while maintaining documentation for all phases of the project.

• Utilize tools such as ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Civil 3D, and HeavyBid for effective project management.

Skills

• Familiarity with the FTA CIG Process

• Proficiency in construction estimating and project scheduling techniques.

• Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices.

• Experience with blueprint reading and understanding schematics.

• Familiarity with contracts related to construction projects.

• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in all aspects of project management.

• Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members and stakeholders at all levels.

• Previous experience on construction sites is preferred.
